Baby RB: The decision

Yesterday was the decision in the case of Baby RB where the father excepted that it would be better to withdraw the life supported machines and allow the baby a 'peaceful, calm and dignified death'. He only agreed with them because he realized that every possible medical avenue were full explored. A good reason for the High Court was that the future of the Baby would not be full of quality because of the breathing disability. Mr Justice McFalarne said :
"One [option] is for his time on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit to end in a planned way, with the administration of a large dose of sedative, the removal of the ventilation tube and his consequent death. The other is to contemplate his discharge from hospital on home ventilation after a tracheotomy."

SO IS THAT REALLY THE RIGHT DECISION??? MAYBE IN A FEW YEARS THERE IS SOMETHING DISCOVERED WHAT MAKE THE LIFE OF THE BABY BETTER!!! HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION??? HOW CAN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE A DECISION LIKE THIS??? POST YOUR COMMENT!!!

Baby RB: life or die?

The father from Baby RB is fighting against the mother and the hospital for turning off the life support machines. The mother said to the Sun that it is cruel to keep the baby alive. She wants to save him living a poor, miserable and sad life. The baby doesn't really have a life quality. The baby has since his birth, a year ago, a seldom congenital myasthenic syndrome (CMS) which means that he can't breath independently and can't move his fingers. The father has another opinion about that. He thinks that Baby RB has a good chance to have a good life quality like the other 300 cases which are listed in the UK. The fight went to the High Court where they want to render the judgement. There is no decision yet...

So what do you think? Is it sustainable to kill the baby or do you think you should keep him alive? Please make a comment on my philosophy blog

Million Dollar Experiment 2.

Steve Pavlinas experiment is going to start now but he doesn't want to wait 50 years by investing $100/month. In his opinion by using the intention-manifestation model it will be more faster. This is Steve's biggest project ever for that reason he has no idea how to manage it and he doesn't have a plan yet. ''I’m just going to choose to believe that it will manifest, and I’ll allow the intention to sink into my subconscious for a while and see what comes of it.''

Pavlina choosed the same template as he did with the polyphasic sleep experiment (which i am going to explain in the next posts). Actually Steve doesn't really need to earn a million dollar! his main objective is ''to develop a better understanding of the power of intention'' he thought it would be an interesting and funny test which all readers of his blog can easily follow and watch the result. Because there is no really disadvantage on this project he really want to start it. Even if he is failing he doesn't lose anything he only learn a lot. Added to this he wants to share his thoughts, results and almost everything during the experiment with all blog readers so they can do the same if they are not bothered. What he doesn't want to share certainly are private datas like ''a signed non-disclosure agreement with a third-party''.

In the next post i will write a short summary of the whole process of the experiment with some details...
